Rhino KammRack aluminium rack - 3.0m x 1.6m with full width roller, no. K632 to fit your Renault Trafic L2 (LWB) H1 (low roof) (2014 onwards)

Rhino's KammRack aluminium roof racks are an evolution of their AluminiumRack series; KammRack is lighter and more aerodynamic, but is just as strong (whch means very strong).

The main differences are (1) the rounded 'fat wing' teardrop-shaped Kamm cross-bar profiles reduce drag and wind noise by up to 60% compared to equivalent square-edged bars, and (2) the KammRack has been designed with speed and ease of assembly in mind. This efficiency also extends to the side frames which are now supplied in two parts, for easy shipping and less potential for damage; they join together very easily and as good as seamlessly - It's not easy to see the join.

Let's look at each part of the KammRack in more detail:

The cross-bars and rack legs

• The cross-bars are based around the 'Kamm' teardrop-shaped roof bar profile, inspired by the pioneering work of the German aerodynamicist Professor Wunibald Kamm - the shape reduces drag by up to 60% compared to square-edged profiles, reducing both wind noise and fuel consumption. The bars are made from 6063A T6, a scratch-resistant anodised aluminium, and are 60mm wide by 37mm deep.
• The rack legs, which are supplied ready to fit, include bespoke fitting parts for each vehicle, using shaped pads and spacers that leave the bars sitting horizontal when the van is on a horizontal surface. They are made from HR4 mild steel with a textured black powder coating, with (as appropriate) stainless or galvanised steel bolts, washers and nylock nuts, all covered with strong composite plastic covers for good looks. Locks are available as an extra, shown in the list below.

The side frames

• Supplied in two parts in one box to make handling easier and to reduce freight damage and freight costs.
• The frame parts click together and are then clicked onto the cross-bars before being loosely positioned ready for the rear roller assembly, tightened in place with a few turns of an Allen key. When the rear roller is fitted then final adjustments for optimal positioning of the whole rack can be made.

The rear roller

• The KammRack rear roller is made from anodised aluminium; this is just as strong as stainless steel but is, aesthetically, a better fit with the roof rack as a whole.
• The rear roller clicks into place and is then held very firmly with two fixings on each side frame.

Other points to note:

• As well as the locks, a range of other accessories is also available, notably load stops and ladder clamps (both sold in pairs) and, for best safety and loading efficiency, a range of SafeStow4 ladder handling systems.

Delivery charges and arrangements:

At the moment there are no delivery charges for Rhino roof bars and roof racks, and associated accessories, ordered from van-racks.co.uk, except for any delivery including a sea crossing, and deliveries to Skye. If your delivery falls into this category we will contact you with a quote on receipt of your order.

All Rhino Products orders need to be placed by 3:30pm for Express Delivery; the cut off time for other brands is 4pm. At the moment neither we nor Rhino Products are able to offer a reliable Next Working Day delivery service, because of pressure on the UK courier network due to the coronavirus crisis and the increase in online shopping. We therefore offer an Express Delivery service, where many orders will arrive on the next working day, but many will arrive a day later, or be split across the two days. There is unfortunately nothing that we can do to change this.

There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, except for postable items where Royal Mail has a Saturday delivery. Express Delivery orders placed on a Friday will therefore be delivered from the Monday, and Express Delivery orders placed on a Saturday will be delivered from the Tuesday.

We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver at an address which suits you. Rhino roof bars and roof rack orders need to be signed for; note that there's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area.

No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. All courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
