Rhino KammBar Fleet steel roof bars (4 bars) QA4FL to fit your Nissan Interstar L1 (SWB) H2 (medium roof) (2022 to 2024)

Rhino's KammBar Fleet roof bars are based around the 'Kamm' teardrop-shaped roof bar profile, inspired by the pioneering work of the German aerodynamicist Professor Wunibald Kamm - the shape reduces drag by up to 60% compared to square-edged profiles, reducing both wind noise and fuel consumption.

KammBar Fleet roof bars provide a bespoke fit for each vehicle, using shaped pads and spacers that leave the bars sitting horizontal when the van is on a horizontal surface.

The Kamm cross-bars are made from E320+CR2 S2 high-tensile steel, rust-proofed with an inorganic zinc seal; this has passed over 250 hours of salt spray testing. The roof bar legs, covered with strong composite plastic covers for good looks, are of HR4 mild steel with a textured black powder coating, with (as appropriate) stainless or galvanised steel bolts, washers and nylock nuts.

Locks are available as an extra, shown in the list below.

The KammBar Fleet bar system has been crash tested by the German TÜV to 20 g, which means that the bars, loaded to their permitted maximum, have survived a horizontal stress which is equivalent to 20 times that weight. We understand that this replicates the forces created by a deceleration from approximately 30mph to 0mph in half a second.

Roof bar crash testing is about proving that the bars stay firmly in place on the vehicle, particularly important in urban situations. It's up to the users to fix the load intelligently, not to carry more than the maximum permitted roof weight for this vehicle, and to modify driving techniques according to the weight on the roof.

Other points to note:

• The Kamm cross tubes are 60mm wide by 37mm deep; they are suitable for all roof boxes that we supply that have 'claw-style' roof bar fittings - Atera, Hapro, Thule. KAMEI Delphin and Husky fittings still need to be checked, and also e.g. Yakima water-sports carrier fittings and Thule roof-mounted bike carrier fittings
• KammBar Fleet are supplied partially assembled, with the legs ready to slide onto the cross bars, allowing for faster fitting
• KammBar Fleet are supplied in one box, to get around the potential problem of split courier deliveries
• As well as the locks, a range of other accessories is also available, notably load stops and ladder clamps (both sold in pairs) and rear rollers; the rear roller that's appropriate for this van will be shown in the list below as a Core component.
• Total weight per single bar: 124cm = 2.6kg; 142cm = 2.8kg; 160cm = 3.1kg; 170cm = 3.2kg

In summary, these are excellent roof bars, good value for money. They are the same as the KammBar Pro except for the cross bar profiles; KammBar Pro profiles are aluminium; KammBar Fleet profiles are steel.

Delivery charges and arrangements:

At the moment there are no delivery charges for Rhino roof bars and roof racks, and associated accessories, ordered from van-racks.co.uk, except for any delivery including a sea crossing, and deliveries to Skye. If your delivery falls into this category we will contact you with a quote on receipt of your order.

All Rhino Products orders need to be placed by 3:30pm for Express Delivery; the cut off time for other brands is 4pm. At the moment neither we nor Rhino Products are able to offer a reliable Next Working Day delivery service, because of pressure on the UK courier network due to the coronavirus crisis and the increase in online shopping. We therefore offer an Express Delivery service, where many orders will arrive on the next working day, but many will arrive a day later, or be split across the two days. There is unfortunately nothing that we can do to change this.

There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, except for postable items where Royal Mail has a Saturday delivery. Express Delivery orders placed on a Friday will therefore be delivered from the Monday, and Express Delivery orders placed on a Saturday will be delivered from the Tuesday.

We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver at an address which suits you. Rhino roof bars and roof rack orders need to be signed for; note that there's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area.

No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. All courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
