Rollers are designed to make loading the roof with heavy articles easy, and prevent the vehicle roof and back doors being damaged in the process. Both Rhino and Saunders offer ladder roller options in various widths (full or half width). Lightweight UPVC rollers are used for Saunders R9 ladder bars.

Saunders also make Superheavy bars with a roller system - a set of three zinc plated 40mm x 2.5mm square bars complete with a stand-off roller - shown below.
