The Backpac 973 fits mainly estate cars and vans; it carries up to four bikes (extra parts are required) depending on the strength of the tailgate, and can be moved from car to car by use of a different fitting kit to provide real value for money.

It’s made of steel with aluminium wheel supports.

Please only order the 3rd and 4th bike adapters if these are shown below. The maximum number of bikes to be carried is indicated by the bike carrier adapters available. Overloading the tailgate by adding extra adapters would / could damage it and make the whole bike carrier unsafe.

Please note that you cannot use rear fixing carriers on cars with rear spoilers, or on vehicles where modifications to the roof or tailgate would have an effect on the fitting of the carrier. Find a different solution - either roof mounting and/or tow bar mounting.
